Meshrep is a comprehensive Uyghur community gathering tradition combining music, dance, poetry, food, and social education. Held in village courtyards, participants sit in a circle and take turns performing Muqam songs, folk dances, and comic skits. An elder presides, using the gathering to teach moral values, resolve disputes, and transmit cultural knowledge. It serves as a living classroom for Uyghur traditions.
