Biography
Wang Zhigang is a master of Dongyang wood carving from Zhejiang Province. Born into a family of carvers, he specializes in openwork carving and multi-layered relief panels depicting opera scenes and landscapes. He has restored ancient wooden architectural carvings at major cultural heritage sites and teaches at the Dongyang Wood Carving Academy.
